Biography: Linda L. Ford
Natividad Medical Foundation President and CEO

A tireless advocate for equitable health care access for everyone, Linda Ford leads the Natividad Medical Foundation in philanthropically supporting Natividad Medical Center so Monterey County’s safety net hospital can serve all those in need of medical care regardless of ability to pay. Under her dynamic leadership, philanthropic donations that support patient programs and services at Natividad Medical Center have increased by 400% since 2007.
Ms. Ford brings over 30 years of hospital fundraising, philanthropy consulting and entrepreneurial expertise to Natividad Medical Foundation with a specialty in start-ups and turnarounds for philanthropic organizations. Ms. Ford developed and led one of the largest fundraising campaigns in Colorado history - the $200 million campaign to relocate the University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) to the former Fitzsimmons Army Base (now known as the Anschutz Medical Campus). She also worked with Carnegie Hall to raise support for the UCH Bone Marrow Transplant Program.
Additionally, Ms. Ford worked for The Children's Hospital and the Sisters of Charities Providence Health Partners, both in Denver, Colorado and Eisenhower Medical Center in California. Ms. Ford's professional experience also includes Capital Campaign consulting to Scripps Coastal Medical Center, Girl Scouts of the USA, and other healthcare organizations. In the early 1990's, Ms. Ford accompanied the Project Open Heart team that performed the first open heart surgery in Central Asia. Sponsored by the Republic of China Army, Ms. Ford toured Chinese hospitals and was one of the first lecturers on the subject of philanthropy in Beijing, China.
Ms. Ford, a Certified Executive Coach and a graduate of the Disney Institute, has served as a board member at several nonprofit agencies, including Special Olympics. Ms. Ford earned a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University and a Master of Arts in Gerontology. Ms. Ford is also an Oblate with the Order of St. Benedict, New Camaldoli Hermitage, Big Sur.
