Ideal Patient Experience
In addition to providing access to healthcare regardless of their ability to pay, one of Natividad Medical Center's primary goals is to help children and families with limited and non-English speaking proficiency overcome language and cultural barriers they may encounter in the hospital. Clear communication is crucial to effective healthcare. At Natividad, we work to improve the patient experience by addressing communication needs through access to qualified medical interpreter services and a better understanding of the differing cultural values and beliefs of our diverse patient population.
Our vision is that from the moment someone comes through the door at Natividad, every visual element, every physical space and every access point is centered on the patient. From the mood and message created with each photograph, painting and mural, “quiet” spaces to meditate, rest or wait with family, to support for patients and their families with "end-of-life" palliative care services, our goal is to soothe, reassure and promote healing.
