Community Foundation for Monterey County-Sponsored Health Language & Literacy Survey
The Cislini Discretionary Fund and the General Endowment Fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County provided funding for the study. Led by Jason Morgen son, M.D., a third year Natividad Family Practice Resident Physician at the time, the Health Language & Literacy Survey was designed to conduct an objective evaluation of language and basic literacy levels among a sample of 346 patients at Natividad.

CONCLUSIONS
The Natividad Medical Foundation has identified Medical Interpretation, Translation and Cross-Cultural Care as priority fundraising areas and is disseminating the results throughout the Hospital and community.
