Medical Staff Leadership Alexander DiStante, M.D.Chief of Staff Dr. Alexander DiStante is the Vice Chief of Staff and Surgical Services Director at Natividad Medical Center. He is Board certified in Surgical Critical Care and General Surgery and received his medical degree from the Ponce School of Medicine in 1991. He completed a residency in General Surgery at the Western Reserve Care System in Ohio and the Polyclinic Medical Center in Pennsylvania, and in Surgical Critical Care at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. DiStante was previously an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Trauma at the University of California Irvine and in private practice in Tampa, Florida and Santa Rosa, California.
