Natividad Family Practice Residency Training Program
Affiliated with the UCSF School of Medicine

Natividad Medical Center's Family Practice Residency Program, recognized as one of the finest physician teaching programs in the country, has been clinically affiliated with UCSF since 1974. This powerful alliance has created the only academic teaching facility on the Central Coast, and one-third of all graduates from the Program remain in the community to establish a practice.

Natividad Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Affiliated with the UCSF School of Medicine

Affiliated with the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) serves more than 300 babies each year right here in Monterey County.The Central Coast's only California Children's Services-certified Level III NICU, Natividad's neonatologists and nursing staff have extraordinary clinical competency in the care of newborns and in supporting family members and caregivers in the Hospital.

CHAMACOS Research Project
Affiliated with UC Berkeley

The Center for the Health Assessment of Mothers and Children of Salinas (CHAMACOS) is directed by Dr. Brenda Eskenazi and is a community-university partnership in the Salinas Valley. They are investigating the relationship of the environment to children's health and developing interventions that reduce the incidence of environmentally-related childhood disease. Current studies focus on pesticide and allergen exposures to pregnant women and children. Natividad Medical Center is a primary survey site for the CHAMACOS project.
