Sam Karas Acute Rehabilitation Unit
The 22-bed Sam Karas Acute Rehabilitation Unit offers a comprehensive and interdisciplinary
in-patient center with medical care directed by a physician specially trained in rehabilitation medicine. The only acute rehabilitation center in Monterey County, it is designed to assist patients and their families with the transition from an acute hospital setting to home. The center offers medical care, physical, occupational and speech therapy, and one-on-one and group therapy sessions to help patients reach a high level of functional independence to return home safely and with confidence.
Philanthropic support will allow Natividad Medical Center to enhance the Sam Karas Acute Rehabilitation Unit, to inspire hope and healing for those on their journey to recovery.
