Women's Health

AT NATIVIDAD:
-
More than 12% of pregnant women develop gestational diabetes.
-
1 in 6 new mothers has had late or no prenatal care.
-
1 in 3 poor women over the age of 40 has never had a mammogram.
-
The average household income of the families of our babies and children is below $15,000.
Women play a vital role in the health of their families. The well-being of the family is affected not only by her care but largely by how she cares for herself and the status of her own health.
Women and children make up 70 percent of the patient population at Natividad. And yet, lack of insurance and money often mean she has to choose between relieving her own suffering or feeding her children.
Women's healthcare services at Natividad are designed with the entire family in mind to promote healing and to ensure excellent health outcomes for our patients. To that end, Natividad has set the standard for high quality, cross-cultural, patient-centered women's healthcare for every woman in our community.
