Our staff is passionate about and dedicated to supporting the needs of our patients, through programs and services at Natividad Medical Center. Each of our team members brings unique skills and experiences to help us achieve our philanthropic goals.
President & CEO Email: lford@natividadfoundation.org Ms. Ford brings over 30 years of hospital fundraising, philanthropy consulting and entrepreneurial expertise to Natividad Medical Foundation with a specialty for start-ups and turnarounds for philanthropic organizations. Ms. Ford developed and led one of the largest fundraising campaigns in Colorado history - the $200 million campaign to relocate the University of Colorado Hospital to the former Fitzsimmons Army Base (now know as the Anschutz Medical Campus). She has also worked with Carnegie Hall to raise funds for UCH's Bone Marrow Transplant Program. In addition to working with UCH, Ms. Ford has worked for The Children's Hospital and the Sisters of Charities Providence Health Partners, both in Denver, Colorado and Eisenhower Medical Center in California. Ms. Ford's professional experience also includes Capital Campaign consulting to Scripps Coastal Medical Center, Girl Scouts of the USA, and other healthcare organizations. In the early 1990s, Ms. Ford accompanied the Project Open Heart team that performed the first open heart surgery in Central Asia. Sponsored by the Republic of China Army, Ms. Ford toured Chinese hospitals and was one of the first lecturers on the subject of philanthropy in Beijing, China. Ms. Ford, a Certified Executive Coach and a graduate of the Disney Institute, has served as a board member at several nonprofit agencies, including Special Olympics. Ms. Ford earned a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University and a Master of Arts in Gerontology. Ms. Ford is also an Oblate with the Order of St. Benedict, New Camaldoli Hermitage, Big Sur. Director of Development Email: jwilliams@natividadfoundation.org Jennifer Williams joined the Foundation staff as Director of Development in 2002. Born and raised in Ohio, Ms. Williams graduated summa cum laude with both her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Master of Arts in Theology. Ms. Williams has worked primarily in hospital settings since the age of 15 when she first joined the Volunteer Auxiliary at her local city hospital. A lover of writing since elementary school, Ms. Williams has written, secured and managed more than $9 million in Federal and state grants for Natividad Medical Center. Ms. Williams serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Central Coast Center for Independent Living and is the former Vice President of Communications for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Monterey Bay Chapter. Director of Operations Email: ami@natividadfoundation.org Ami Villa joined the Natividad Medical Foundation staff in 2010 and currently serves as the Director of Operations. Although she was born in Munich, Germany, Ms. Villa has lived on the Central Coast since the age of two. Ms. Villa has an extensive bookkeeping and accounting background that spans a seventeen year period. Ms. Villa has a love of giving back to the communities in which she lives and works, and has given her time to a variety of committees and boards. For the past three years she has taken on the role of Team Captain Chair for the Relay for Life of Hollister, CA. Medical Director for Health Promotion and Education Email: kentd@natividad.com Dr. Kent received her M.D. degree from Harvard Medical School and completed her family medicine residency at Natividad, where she was co-chief resident. Prior to medical school, Dr. Kent was a registered nurse at Natividad in labor and delivery and the nursery. Her two daughters were born at Natividad, so connections with NMC are deep. Dr. Kent has worked as a family physician in Monterey County’s safety-net clinic system for her entire clinical career, both at Natividad’s clinics and the Monterey County Health Department clinics, where she was medical director for 6 years at the Seaside Family Health Center. Grant Programs Manager Email: judy@natividadfoundation.org Judy Garrison has managed numerous health care organizations including oncology social work, home health, rehabilitation and hospice. She has co-authored two books on coping with cancer. She has been Project Director for the Every Woman Counts Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program for underserved women and Coordinator of the Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health program of Monterey County. She is currently on the Board of Directors of the YWCA, Monterey County, volunteers with the California Division of the American Cancer Society and is a BEACHComber volunteer with Moss Landing Marine Lab/Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. Annual Programs Manager E-mail: rose@natividadfoundation.org Roselynn Pucan-Meagor initially began working with Natividad Medical Foundation as a consultant and then joined the foundation staff in 2011. Ms. Pucan-Meagor has lived and worked in Mexico and Canada with the State of California and the U.S. Department of Agriculture to promote U.S. agricultural exports in international markets. She is a partner with Developing Human Capital, LLC, a consulting company that specializes in team building and youth leadership development and is a certified trainer with KidLead, a youth leadership development program focused on preteens. Ms. Pucan-Meagor earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of California, Davis and a Master in Public Administration from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She enjoys working with youth in the community and spending time with her family. Bookkeeper E-mail: lori@natividadfoundation.org Lori Grimes joined Natividad Medical Foundation in January 2011. Ms. Grimes brings over 20 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting working with various organizations. She has sat on several non-profit boards including the Anzar High School Booster’s Club and the San Juan Aromas Little League. Ms. Grimes dedicates each Fall to organizing the Fist Bumps, a Monterey ALS Walk Team that supports the ALS Association. She enjoys photography and lives in Aromas with her husband and 2 sons.
